what is the chemical found in a shedded snake skin? when do the snake shed? how can we extract that chemical?

Most of them chemicals found in snake skin are the ones that the snakes body does not need. Why you want to extract those chemicals, I do not know. There can be poison in the skin I’ve heard. Also, different species of snakes shed at different times.

don’t know about the chemical thing.
But ALL snakes shed at different times. When they are young, they shed more, simply because they are growing faster. The older they get, the less they shed, because the less they grow. It also has alot to do with how much they eat, can’t grow if the nutrients aren’t there.
